Christmas at Vineyard
12/7 Fiesta de Navidad
Vineyard’s annual Christmas party is a time to celebrate the season, sharing a meal and enjoying conversation with our church family after our Sunday service. This year, drawing Mexican Christmas traditions, we’ll be celebrating with tamales and a piñata! Vineyard will provide the tamales.
12/24 Christmas Eve Service
Vineyard’s Christmas Eve service will be at Tall Oaks Elementary School from 3-4pm. Prepare for Christmas with an intimate time of worship, singing of Christmas hymns, and reflection on the meaning of Christmas.
12/28 Virtual Service
On December 28th, we’ll have a brief online worship service in place of our normal Sunday morning gathering. This will be an opportunity for contemplation, reflection, and connecting with God in the midst of the post-Christmas season.
12/13 Office Moving Day
For many years, we've been looking and praying for a "living room" space to call home... a place where we can hold Vineyard classes and meetings, where we have dedicated office and storage space, and where our worship team can practice for Sunday mornings. And... God has provided! On December 1, we officially moved into a space in downtown Charlottesville (1110 East Market Street #1-T).
This is where you come in! We're looking for gently used furniture (living room, office, and storage) to furnish the space. We're also looking for help cleaning, decorating, and moving furniture and equipment. Moving day is Saturday, December 13th, 10am-1pm. If you can help, and/or if you have furniture to donate, please let us know! We're so excited for this milestone in the life of our church family.
A-Just Christmas
This year, Vineyard Church is going to match, dollar for dollar, all donations toward A-just Christmas, up to $2,000! This means, when you give on or before December 21, your donation is worth twice as much! And… our partners in ministry will benefit even more from your generosity!!
The Christmas season is often a time when we turn our focus inward - toward ourselves and our families. A-Just Christmas is our effort to “adjust” our perspective during the Christmas season to also look outward and seek God’s justice for all people.
We’re partnering with organizations that are doing good, empowering & impactful work in our city and beyond. Our partners this year are: Abundant Life, IMPACT, PACEM and Convoy of Hope. Your A-just Christmas gifts will directly impact the great work each of these ministries are doing in our community and among some of the most vulnerable people in the world.
