Weekly Happenings
1/4 Sewing & Craft Group
Vineyard’s sew and craft group will meet on Sunday, January 4, 12:30-4:30pm, at Carissa Phillips’ home. All are invited to share in the joy of creativity! All types of fabric-based crafts are welcome, and no experience is required.
We will begin the group with a potluck style lunch and share what projects we are working on. Plan to bring all notions, supplies, and equipment needed to work on your project. If someone does not have a specific project, we can all collaborate on other projects brought to the group. Contact Martha Adekunle with questions.
1/11-2/1 Emotionally Healthy Spirituality
As we go through our lives with God, emotional unhealth can hold us back from growing into the person God made us to be. This can look like:
Feeling exhausted by doing things for God while rarely slowing down to be with God
Living vicariously off of other people’s spirituality
Ignoring “negative” emotions like anger, sadness, and fear
Denying healthy, God-given desires and pleasures
Missing out on God’s peace by burying tensions and avoiding conflict
Feeling stuck and unable to move forward in your walk with God
…and much more.
The Emotionally Healthy Spirituality course is an opportunity to grow in emotional health in your relationships with God and people. The four-week course will meet on Sunday evenings, January 11-February 1, 6:30-8:30pm.
1/18 Small Groups
Our Spring small group semester is coming soon! After a break for the holidays, we’re back, beginning the week of January 18.
Small groups at Vineyard are our frontline of support through life’s joys and challenges. They gather on a regular basis to care, encourage & pray for one another, while also studying scripture and going deeper with God together. Small Groups meet once a week in the evening at the home of someone from the small group.
Many people at Vineyard would tell you that SGs have been an important part of their church experience here. So perhaps now is the time for you to jump in for the first time, or re-engage with a small group after a season away.
1/31 Soak Night
A Soak Night is an extended time of musical worship and prayer. It’s an opportunity to “soak” in God’s presence, enjoying being with Him and listening to His voice. Join us on the evening of Saturday, January 31st, for a time of worship, prayer, and rest. More details to come!
